I want to thank each one of you who played a tremendous part in God sustaining us by His grace through this time of testing.  My mom really demonstrated a "Dying Grace" and was faithful until the end.  Ecclesiastes 7:1 and 2 say: A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one’s birth.
Eccl. 7:2 It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart.

One aspect on noting that the day of one's death is better than the day of one's birth just might be that at birth we have no idea of how one's life will turn out.  But when one dies most of the world has a real clear understanding what type of person an individual really is.  They have demonstrated it by their choices in this life.

For the record, my mother was one of, if not, the godliest person I have ever been friends with, met or read about.  For those who knew her, they would probably agree.  But yet, she would say that she was a wicked sinner whose only positive qualities was Christ's righteousness!   And that is true, but she also had "practical" righteousness that clearly accompanied her "positional" righteousness!
Thanks again for those out there who cared for our family and prayed for us!

mom loved her grandkids!

Our last Thanksgiving

Nov. 2007

Mom is so pretty even as she was undergoing treatment

She lost her hair doing an alternative chemo treatment, but it didn't get her down at all

This was taken sometime in 2008-She looks so pretty here.

I think this was taken around Easter-2008

The grandkids loved my parents and they loved them!

We will be finalizing funeral arrangements this afternoon. We will probably have a service on Monday evening in Springfield. Then her body will be transported to Lexington, KY where we will have another funeral and the burial.

Prayer For My Mother

Please keep my mom and family in your prayers. My mom felt like she was dying last night. She was taken to the hospital with major problems breathing (this continues to be a problem evevn though she is home now). Her cancer has spread, she has a serious infection and she is having other problems as well. We are taking off work and heading back to Springfield ASAP. God's will is going to be done, we are just asking that His will is for a miracle to take place, but if not, that His grace will be sufficient. Thanks for you prayers!

Marcus
